Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre’s coming-of-age “Avenue Q” has theater goers once again leaving the youngest kids at home. The Tony-award winning “Triple Crown” show (Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book) has bounced through most of the country, springing surprises with songs like “I’m Not Wearing Underwear Today” and “The Internet is for Porn.” When it’s premiere turned U.S. musical theater on its ear in 2003, the puppet-infused portrayal of young adult angst picked up an ongoing saga: the search for meaning and finding enough money to pay for it. Showtimes vary, runs Oct. 18 through Nov. 2, tickets are $20 to 39.
