In September music fans are treated to the annual Delta Blues Festival, while on March 5 the El Campanil Theatre will host a formal blues concert featuring top entertainers to help raise money to keep the September festival free for all. The event is aimed at raising awareness about disaster preparation, reducing fall risks and hazards and providing safety information and resources. At 10:30 a.m., Barbara Merrill, physical therapist and Saratoga Area Senior Coordinating Council Board vice president, will be presenting on the cognitive aspects behind the increased risk of falling as people age.
